The Role and the Team Proofpoint is looking for a highly-motivated Sales Engineering Manager to lead a team of talented sales engineers focused on Mid Market opportunities. The ideal candidate will have a solid technical background, be passionate and knowledgeable about security, and have prior experience managing sales engineering teams. An ability to “lead from the front” and a willingness to act as both player and coach to help your team secure the technical win will be key to your success. Candidates should be located in Cincinnati, Pittsburgh, Richmond, Philadelphia, NYC, or Boston. Leading a team of dynamic and energetic sales engineers Partnering with recruiting and HR to attract, hire and retain top talent to support our rapid growth Being a coach: Enable your team with our world class training, and provide 1:1 coaching and development at every opportunity Drive operational excellence across the team & helping drive customer interactions in accounts. Put your individual contributor hat on when needed, engage with customers, and help formulate strategies for target accounts Partner with other groups to help us continue our tradition of an outstanding customer experience Become a student of our best in breed suite of security solutions The role may require travel between 50-75% within the region.
