About The Position
The San Jose Giants, a Single-A affiliate of the San Francisco Giants, are looking for a detail-oriented, creative, and motivated individual to fill the role of Manager, Fan Experience at Excite Ballpark. This full-time, permanent position is crucial for overseeing game operations, which includes video board production, in-game entertainment, and fan engagement. The Manager will be responsible for maintaining all press box equipment, creating video and graphic content, and managing the team's website. This role requires a strong focus on enhancing the overall fan experience during games and events. In this position, the Manager will prepare nightly game and promotional scripts that incorporate all sponsor and corporate elements. They will organize content on video board computers daily to match these scripts and execute required MLB, MiLB, and DBH initiatives and activations. The Manager will produce all elements of the game night show production related to video boards, scoring, public address systems, entertainment, and broadcast. Additionally, they will hire, train, and supervise the seasonal game night production and press box crew, ensuring that all press box equipment, including video boards, cameras, computers, and sound systems, are maintained and operational. The Manager will also oversee the San Jose Giants' web assets, working closely with department leaders to curate and maintain website content, including ticketing, baseball information, events, and the team store. They will monitor other MiLB websites for changes and features that could be beneficial for implementation. Furthermore, the Manager will create new video pieces for in-game use and on the web, design video board layouts, and collaborate with the social media team to generate engaging content. This role may also involve special assignments as directed by the Assistant General Manager, contributing to the overall success of the team's promotional efforts and fan engagement strategies.
