The Manager of Facilities Management is responsible for overseeing the staff and activities related to facilities maintenance within the organization. This role involves managing, planning, and organizing the facilities maintenance team to ensure that all operations run smoothly and efficiently. The manager will ensure that all contracts and service agreements are in compliance with facility standards and meet the needs of the organization. Additionally, the manager will oversee the maintenance and repair of equipment and facilities, ensuring that all operations are conducted in a safe and compliant manner. In this position, the manager will provide leadership to the Facilities Management team, guiding team members and supervisors towards achieving departmental objectives. This includes developing and communicating goals that align with the overall objectives of the health system. The manager will also be responsible for selecting, developing, managing, and evaluating both direct and indirect reports, ensuring that the team is well-equipped to meet the demands of the job. The manager will be tasked with managing maintenance and repair schedules for all equipment and facilities, ensuring that all work is completed in a timely manner. Building and maintaining productive relationships with both internal departments and external vendors is crucial to optimizing operations. The manager will recommend and implement approved operating goals, objectives, and budgets, and will be responsible for reporting on operational performance, justifications, and corrective actions as necessary. Compliance with federal, state, and local regulatory bodies is a key responsibility, ensuring that all operations adhere to the required standards. The manager may also perform related duties as required, with all responsibilities considered essential functions of the job under the Americans with Disabilities Act.
