The Manager, Facilities Maintenance at the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis is responsible for planning and leading operations and maintenance activities for all facilities in Memphis, TN. This role involves overseeing a team of maintenance professionals, managing budgets, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and maintaining high standards of facility operations. The position requires a strong understanding of various skilled trades, including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems, as well as strategic planning and preventative maintenance.

  • Prepare and communicate maintenance operational goals to achieve department strategy, focusing on quality, safety, and operational efficiency.
  • Help plan the annual expense and capital operating budget and long-term forecasts for major capital asset enhancement projects.
  • Conduct regular inspections of all properties and develop plans to quickly resolve issues.
  • Oversee and ensure a proficient safety program conforming to OSHA standards and other safety guidelines.
  • Manage the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to ensure accurate and updated information, using data to improve site performance.
  • Coordinate contracts for contracted services and monitor quality of work for various services such as janitorial and landscaping.
  • Maintain facilities in compliance and cleanliness, managing cleaning schedules and contract compliance.
  • Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering or Facilities Management related field or commensurate experience.
  • 7+ years of experience in facilities management preferred.
  • 3+ years managing or supporting teams.
  • Familiarity with HVAC, electrical, fire safety, plumbing, and building automation systems.
  • Project management experience and budgeting skills.
  • Proficient in reading construction drawings and specifications.
  • Ability to mentor personnel and increase employee engagement.
  • Experience drafting/editing contract language.
  • Strong analytical skills to prioritize multiple tasks concurrently.
  • Comfortable making difficult decisions within defined procedures.
  • Experience with CAFM, IWMS, or CMMS systems.
  • Track record of producing operational efficiencies.
