About The Position

Mercy Gilbert Medical Center is a 198 bed non-profit facility providing quality health care to patients and communities in and around Gilbert, Arizona. We are part of CommonSpirit Health which operates 139 hospitals and more than 1,000 care sites across 21 states. The Manager Executive Chef will be responsible for maintaining and administering culinary and nutrition services, and to provide for the operational needs of staff members.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED
Two (2) years of leadership experience
Three (3) years of equivalent combination of culinary education and culinary experience
Registered Dietitian (RD) or (RD-ADA) or (RD-AND) or (RD-CDR) or Certified Dietary Manager (CDM)
Servsafe Manager (SERVSAFMGR) upon hire
Servsafe General Certificate (SERVSAFE GEN) within 60 days of hire
AZ Food Handler Permit within 30 days of hire or Servsafe Certification (SERVSAFE) within 30 days of hire

Nice To Haves

Associates in Culinary Arts, Hospitality Management. Commensurate experience will be considered in lieu of degree

Responsibilities

Indentifies current learning needs and opportunities for staff. Directs and manages processes in which the appropriate expert relates the information
Conducts sanitation audits and performance audits on a consistent basis per determined departmental frequencies
Follows purchasing agreements and compliance goals set forth by departmental/Food and Nutrition Services (FNS) program leadership. Assists Manager/Director with compliance audits at all applicable campuses.
Maintains communication with staff and customers regarding the level of services they receive from FNS, staff, and promotes patient satisfaction with nutritional services. This data is relayed to the management team and/or staff whenever necessary.
