About The Position

The Manager, Event Operations & VIP Hospitality will support the planning, execution, and post-event evaluation of USH and CityWalk Special Events. This role focuses on operational excellence and guest experience for events such as Sales and Press Events, Park Buyouts, Internal Team Member Events and the day-to-day hospitality business of the VIP Lounge and Moulin Rouge. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Event Operations & VIP Hospitality, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth event delivery aligned with USH's standards.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3+ years of experience in event operations, hospitality, or theme parks
  • Strong background in special events and union environments
  • Excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Commitment to delivering exceptional guest memorable moments
  • Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint and embraces new workplace technology
  • Professional appearance in line with USH standards and flexibility for additional duties as assigned

Responsibilities

  • Develop event prospectuses and communications for internal and external stakeholders
  • Support budget creation and financial tracking; prepare event recaps as directed
  • Manage operational planning for events including social gatherings, activations, picnics, park buyouts, and annual passholder events
  • Coordinate logistics such as site requests, construction elements, and guest flow
  • Partner with Entry teams for registration, ticketing, and entry processes
  • Act as Event Lead for assigned events throughout the year
  • Monitor park street closures and guest experience during operational impacts
  • Participate in OPX meetings and provide operational updates
  • Supervise Event Operations & Hospitality staff, including union team members, ensuring compliance with collective bargaining agreements
  • Maintain the Event Operations Master Calendar and contribute to bi-weekly meetings
  • Collaborate with Corporate Communications on sound ordinance compliance and assist with hiring LAPS representatives as needed
  • Build strong relationships with internal event teams and support employee development initiatives
  • Oversee VIP hospitality for select events such as FFN, HHN, and EVE
  • Provide on-site support during events and assist with VIP/Special Events reporting
