About The Position

At IAB, our events don’t just convene the industry — they set the agenda. We’re looking for a Manager, Event Content & Programming who lives at the intersection of storytelling, production excellence, and white-glove execution. This role is for someone who can take complex industry inputs and turn them into cohesive, compelling narratives that captivate audiences — on stage, on screen, and beyond. If you thrive on process, precision, creative leadership, and the adrenaline of live execution — and you love shaping conversations that matter — this role was made for you.

Requirements

  • A seasoned event producer or programmer with 5+ years of experience in conferences, live events, or broadcast-style production
  • Deeply knowledgeable about the digital media, advertising, and marketing ecosystem
  • A natural storyteller who can translate complex topics into engaging narratives
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and calm under pressure
  • Comfortable engaging senior industry executives and managing diverse stakeholders
  • Experienced in show calling, directing, and technical production, with strong AV fluency
  • Equally effective working independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

  • OWN THE NARRATIVE & THE SHOW
  • Lead end-to-end content development, synthesizing insights from IAB members and internal subject-matter experts
  • Design a clear, audience-first narrative that flows across sessions, speakers, and formats
  • Own the full run of show — from concept development and scripting through rehearsals, show calling, and live execution
  • Operate as a showrunner-style producer, managing multiple stakeholder segments while maintaining tone, pacing, and narrative cohesion
  • Make real-time decisions during live events to protect quality, flow, and audience engagement
  • DRIVE PRODUCTION EXCELLENCE
  • Align creative vision with logistics, AV, talent, cues, and transitions
  • Lead rehearsals, proactively identifying risks and tightening transitions
  • Manage timelines, approvals, and last-minute changes with calm authority
  • Deliver polished, broadcast-quality experiences across virtual and in-person formats
  • LEAD MEMBER & SPEAKER EXPERIENCE
  • Manage end-to-end speaker and sponsor coordination, including session details, assets, and run-of-show inputs
  • Create and maintain event schedules and agendas for internal and external promotion
  • Lead logistics communications, prep calls, rehearsals, and speaker briefings
  • Serve as a trusted partner to senior executives, ensuring clarity, confidence, and preparedness
  • DEVELOP THOUGHT LEADERSHIP CONTENT
  • Co-develop thought-leadership programming for IAB’s flagship conferences and events
  • Curate speaker prospect lists across key industry verticals
  • Act as a liaison between internal stakeholders and external partners to build compelling, sponsorable programs
  • Balance editorial integrity with revenue-driving opportunities
