Position Purpose: Manage and implement strategies to ensure successful maintenance and implementation of compliance programs that meet regulatory requirements for assigned products across the entire company. Maintain and track laws and regulations, contract amendments, and various compliance guidance and prepare regular updates and analysis on impactful regulatory actions. Work in collaboration with Markets, Policy, Government Relations, Legal and other key departments to assess and analyze impactful regulations and guidance. Evaluate and monitor changes to service functions and performance in relation to company mission, philosophy objectives and policies. Provide guidance to various departments regarding compliance issues and implementation of new compliance requirements with respect to regulatory and contract language. Provide mentoring and guidance to subordinates within the department as necessary. Serve as primary backup to regional lead as necessary.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent experience.
  • Master's or Juris Doctorate degree preferred.
  • 4+ years of compliance experience, preferably in a healthcare environment.
  • At least 2+ years of Medicaid, Medicare or Commercial Managed Care experience.
  • Previous experience with federal and state regulatory agencies in managed care or insurance environment preferred.
