The Equity Compensation Manager is responsible for the administration of BMS equity programs (including restricted stock units, performance stock units and other long-term incentive vehicles) by coordinating execution, ensuring data accuracy, and maintaining compliant, consistent processes across geographies. This role will partner closely with internal stakeholders in Finance, Tax, Legal, Payroll, HR, and with third-party providers to support employee inquiries, reporting needs, and continuous improvements to the equity experience.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, HR, or related field.
  • 5+ years in equity compensation, total rewards, or related HR operations, with hands-on experience supporting equity administration.
  • Strong knowledge of equity plans, trends, and global regulatory/tax considerations; experience partnering with Finance, Tax, and Legal.
  • A proactive, self-directed work ethic with a proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Working knowledge of SOX/control execution and audit support for equity-related processes (e.g. documentation, evidence retention, reconciliations).
  • Experience coordinating with third-party equity administrators and HR/Payroll partners; comfortable with data files, integrations, and operational reporting.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and customer-service skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office

Responsibilities

  • Program administration support: Support global equity program (across 40+ countries) execution and equity plan application; prepare materials and recommendations for decision-making.
  • Lifecycle execution: Coordinate grant, vest, payout, termination provisions, and reporting activities globally; validate data for accuracy and timeliness, reconcile against expectations, and manage exceptions through resolution. Focus on continuous improvement and automation.
  • Serve as a Cross-Functional Liaison: Function as a primary contact for our vendors and internal teams. You will provide critical equity expertise and support to our Finance, Tax, Legal, Payroll, and HR teams.
  • Process & documentation: Maintain procedures, calendars, and work instructions; identify opportunities for automation and support implementation of improvements.
  • Controls & compliance: Execute SOX-aligned controls, retain audit support, and partner with Finance, Tax, and Legal on country-specific considerations and required documentation.
  • Stakeholder support: Provide guidance on standard processes, contribute to training and communications, and support inquiry management and service delivery for employees and HR partners.

Employees in remote-by-design or lab-based roles may be eligible for summer hours, depending on the nature of their work, and should discuss eligibility with their manager. Employees covered under a collective bargaining agreement should consult that document to determine if they are eligible. Contractors, leased workers and other service providers are not eligible to participate in the program.
