The Manager, Epic Revenue Cycle is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day management and support of assigned Epic modules at Children's National Hospital. This role ensures the effective implementation, maintenance, and optimization of Epic applications to support clinical and operational workflows. Reporting to the Director of Epic Revenue Cycle Applications, the Manager, Epic Revenue Cycle leads a team of analysts, providing guidance on system enhancements, issue resolution, and user support. This role requires a strong understanding of Epic or EHR functionality, healthcare workflows, and system configuration, as well as the ability to collaborate with key stakeholders to address business needs. The Manager, Epic Revenue Cycle plays a key role in change management, system upgrades, and process improvements, ensuring the technology continues to meet the evolving needs of the organization.

  • Lead and manage a team of Epic analysts and specialists.
  • Oversee the implementation, maintenance, and optimization of Epic applications.
  • Provide guidance on system enhancements, issue resolution, and user support.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to address business needs.
  • Manage change management efforts and system upgrades.
  • Drive continuous process improvement initiatives.
  • Serve as the product owner for assigned Epic applications.
  • Oversee the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) for Epic applications.
  • Create and maintain a strategic roadmap for assigned Epic modules.
  • Develop and execute communication strategies regarding Epic system updates.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, engineering, or equivalent related experience.
  • Five years of progressive experience in health information technology or healthcare operations.
  • Minimum of three years in a leadership or senior systems support role overseeing Epic applications.
  • Strong understanding of Epic functionality, modules, and healthcare workflows.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proven ability to identify and address issues proactively.
  • Master's Degree.
  • Project Management (PMP) certification.
  • ITIL certification.
  • Lean Six Sigma certification.
  • Change Management certification.
