About The Position

The Manager, Entertainment Show Operations at Universal Studios Hollywood is responsible for overseeing the management of a show and its venue, ensuring optimal performance and guest experience. This role involves leading a team, managing daily operations, coordinating projects, and maintaining product quality while fostering a collaborative and inspiring work environment.

Requirements

• Minimum 5+ years as a Company Manager or equivalent for theatrical shows and/or concerts.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent background in Theatre, Special/Corporate Events, or Theme Park Management.
• Managerial or supervisory experience of multiple departments and personnel.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and travel to multiple venues throughout the day.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in theme park management or special events management.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules and operating instructions.

Responsibilities

• Manage the daily operation of a specific show venue and its personnel.
• Promote a positive guest and employee experience by ensuring optimal performance levels.
• Forge collaborative relationships with key department partners to coordinate projects and maintain product quality.
• Oversee staff management, including assignment and delegation of projects and duties.
• Maintain departmental budgets and develop operating budgets, adjusting operations as necessary.
• Ensure operational efficiency and effectiveness of the venue/show.
• Provide direction and support to supervisors and hourly employees, including performance feedback and evaluations.
• Assist in hiring, training, and development of staff.
• Plan and implement action plans for employee and guest satisfaction.
• Ensure compliance with collective bargaining agreements and maintain positive union relationships.
