About The Position

Our Manager of Enterprise Content Management Architecture is responsible for driving the architecture, adoption, and evolution of content management and enterprise content integration (ECI) strategies. This role ensures scalable, secure, compliant, and high-performance unstructured content solutions aligned with business goals and data lifecycle needs. Drawing from enterprise content management (ECM) expertise across industries, the role will collaborate with business, IT, and enterprise architecture stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Typically, ten plus years of experience in ECM architecture, design, or implementation.
  • Proven track record with ECM platforms (i.e. Documentum, FileNet, Box, AWS, OnBase, Alfresco, OpenText, SharePoint or similar).
  • Experience in enterprise-scale content migrations and/or ECI implementations.
  • Experience with cloud/on-prem systems.
  • Experience with data modeling and design.
  • Familiarity with capturing, storing, preserving, and delivering unstructured content compliant with corporate and regulatory policies.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, document, and drive ECM architecture and solution strategies-from capture, manage, store, preserve, to deliver-as defined within ECM frameworks.
  • Define integration patterns, metadata models, and workflows to govern unstructured content across enterprise systems.
  • Oversee selection/design/integration of ECM technologies (e.g., Documentum, SharePoint, Hyland, OpenText, Xerox DocuShare).
  • Lead implementation of ECI approaches-indexing, virtual repositories, unified search and packaging content from multiple systems.
  • Establish ECM governance, security, retention, and disposition practices-ensuring content capture, workflow, version control, access control, audit, and compliance with regulations (e.g., HIPAA, SOX, records management).
  • Architect integrations between ECM, ERP, CRM, and other enterprise systems via APIs, middleware, or ECI connectors.
  • Plan and execute migrations from legacy ECM systems to modern platforms, maintaining content integrity and accessibility.
  • Conduct architecture reviews and enforce standards, reuse frameworks and deliver actionable blueprints and patterns to ensure scalability, reliability, and maintainability.
  • Promote ECM architectural best practices, support adoption of emerging ECM trends (e.g., AI-assisted classification, automated workflows), and engage in internal knowledge sharing and thought leadership.
  • Maintain professional demeanor and behavior at all times in all forms of communication.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by manager.
