About The Position

Our Manager of Enterprise Content Management Analysis is responsible for leading the strategic planning, design, and implementation of Enterprise Content Management (ECM) solutions across the organization. This role bridges the gap between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring content management initiatives align with business objectives, regulatory requirements, and enterprise architecture standards. The role uses both functional and technical expertise to translate complex business needs into scalable, compliant, and user-centric ECM solutions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Administration, Library/Information Science, or a related field.
  • Typically, ten plus years of experience in enterprise content management, functional/application analysis, or a related discipline.
  • Strong knowledge of ECM platforms (e.g., OpenText, Microsoft SharePoint, Documentum, Box, or similar) and industry standards.
  • Experience implementing ECM solutions that support business processes, compliance, and governance.
  • Experience with business process modeling and data modeling.
  • Proven ability to translate business needs into system requirements and technical specifications and has served as a liaison between the business and technical teams.
  • Familiarity with regulatory and compliance standards such as ISO 15489, GDPR, HIPAA, or other industry-specific frameworks.

Responsibilities

  • Engage with business units, project managers, and other stakeholders to gather, document, and analyze content management requirements and workflows.
  • Develop ECM strategies and architectural standards that align with enterprise goals, industry best practices, and compliance requirements (e.g., records retention, information security).
  • Collaborate with IT, document control, and solution architects to design and implement effective ECM solutions (e.g., document management systems, workflow automation, metadata schemas).
  • Oversee the selection, configuration, integration, and lifecycle management of ECM tools and platforms (e.g., OpenText, SharePoint, Documentum, Microsoft Purview, etc.).
  • Act as a liaison between technical teams and business stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and understanding of objectives, timelines, and deliverables.
  • Lead and support ECM governance initiatives, including information classification, metadata standards, taxonomy development, and content lifecycle policies.
  • Provide thought leadership in ECM trends and technologies, recommending innovations that improve content accessibility, collaboration, and control.
  • Manage change management and training efforts to support ECM adoption across departments.
  • Monitor system performance and user adoption, providing continuous improvement recommendations.
  • Supervise and mentor ECM technical and functional staff, including vendors and consultants.
  • Maintain professional demeanor and behavior at all times in all forms of communication.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by manager.
