The Manager, Engineering/R&D - Low Voltage UL Switchboard / Switchgear will develop and execute the R&D strategy in alignment with company goals and market trends. The Manager will lead and manage a team of engineers and researchers, providing mentorship, guidance, and performance feedback; manage R&D budgets, timelines, and resource allocation to maximize ROI; and oversee the planning, development, and execution of R&D projects from concept through commercialization. Responsibilities: Identify new technologies, tools, and methodologies that can enhance product performance or reduce costs. Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, Marketing, and Manufacturing teams to ensure seamless integration of R&D outcomes. Ensure compliance with industry regulations, quality standards, and intellectual property protections. Present progress, findings, and strategic recommendations to executive leadership. Track industry trends, competitor activity, and emerging innovations to inform R&D priorities. Lead the team assigned to the specific project. Develop reporting and tracking programs to assure the project is on target for schedule and cost. Identify key issues and drive decisions to ensure that the project does not slip. Identify key risks and have a contingency plan. Communicate with other managers, upper management, or outside vendors and other plants, as required. Responsible that the project is following the NPDI Process. To manage the development of new R&D products in the C&I and Data Center sectors for high profile and well-known global datacenter customers. Work in a multi-disciplinary engineering team on global products focusing on high-performance, cost-effective design and market leading innovation. To approve and review product documentation (CAD drawings, specifications, bills of material). To meet objectives of cost, quality, environment and time of execution, achieving the best trade-off between market and internal customer needs. To analyze and resolve technical problems as regards products under his/her responsibility.
