About The Position

The position is for a full-time role in the Department of Engineering at Lexington Medical Center, located in Lexington, North Carolina. Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Manage the Department of Engineering annual budget for salaries, contracts, utilities, capital equipment, and maintenance supplies.
  • Manage all phases of the capital equipment process, including schedule, invoices, Strata project prioritization, and submission.
  • Report on monthly budget variances.
  • Manage central office support for Engineering job change requests and payroll actions.
  • Manage contracts for Engineering services including landscaping, elevators, kitchen equipment, fire and life safety systems, electrical and HVAC systems, and plumbing systems.
  • Coordinate project expenses with the Facilities Planning Department.
  • Assist Facilities Planning with the development of project budgets.
  • Develop a preventative maintenance supply budget and evaluate supply chain contracting opportunities.
  • Be available 24/7 to Engineering managers and on-call staff to assist with evaluating building system failures and coordinate repair responses.
  • Manage the Engineering risk assessment and life safety impairment process.
  • Analyze utility expenses and report variances and unfavorable trends.
  • Assist the Director and Associate Director with evaluation of energy savings and conservation measures.
  • Maintain departmental policies on the institution's shared drive and consult with EH&S and Compliance for annual policy reviews.
  • Manage Engineering employee safety training and ensure compliance.
  • Manage compliance documentation for all regulatory authorities and accreditation organizations.
  • Manage the CMS computerized maintenance management system.
  • Ensure communications and work order submissions from the Service Response Center remain operational 24/7.
  • Expand the CMS work order system to new building acquisitions.
  • Hire, train, coach, and develop staff.
  • Conduct staff performance evaluations.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending seminars and participating in professional societies.
