About The Position

As the Manager of Engineering, you will lead and oversee all engineering and project management activities for mechanical, civil, electrical, instrumentation, and design engineering across Fossil Power Plants and related facilities. This role requires strong leadership in managing diverse engineering teams, ensuring the successful execution of power plant projects that drive operational excellence and efficiency. Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in engineering or related applied science discipline from an ABET accredited institution.
  • Eight (8) years of experience in engineering positions.
  • Three (3) years experience in a supervisory role position involving the planning, organizing, directing and evaluating the work and performance of subordinates.
  • Detailed technical knowledge of power plant engineering, operations, and maintenance.

Nice To Haves

  • Working knowledge of environmental requirements, OSHA, information technology and labor regulatory/contract requirements relative to the operation of an electric generation station.
  • Solid leadership, project management and business knowledge, performance, interpersonal/communications skills.
  • Professional Engineer registration.

Responsibilities

  • Direct and manage engineering studies, designs, budgeting, scheduling, and economic evaluations to support the optimal performance of power plants.
  • Lead cross-functional teams in executing construction activities and projects that maintain the efficiency and reliability of fossil power plant operations.
  • Coordinate with internal departments, including production, planning, environmental, and safety teams, to align engineering efforts with business objectives.
  • Oversee and guide engineering activities, providing technical direction and ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and regulatory standards.
  • Recommend, evaluate, and implement innovative technologies and solutions that improve overall power plant performance and sustainability.
