Job overview and responsibilities This Manager - Endpoint Software Delivery leads and develops high-performing delivery teams by setting clear expectations, fostering technical excellence, and ensuring every engineer is empowered, supported, and equipped to deliver software and applications across enterprise workstations and mobile platforms using modern device management tools. The role builds a culture of accountability, transparency, and continuous improvement, ensuring the team has the skills, tools, and guidance needed to scale software delivery effectively across United’s enterprise. The manager maintains strong cross-organizational relationships with broader engineering teams, application owners, product partners, cybersecurity, and operational business units to streamline release readiness, deployment planning, validation, and post-deployment monitoring. Serving as the central point for escalation and coordination, this leader ensures the team remains aligned with business priorities and delivers consistently reliable, high-quality outcomes. Coaches and mentors team members to stretch beyond their comfort zones and adopt new techniques that drive success Ensures staff have the skills and resources to excel by providing coaching, training, and opportunities for growth to improve their skills Fosters an inclusive work environment that promotes diversity, cooperation, and commitment to achieving team goals and deliverables Utilizes expertise and leadership skills to define project objectives, develop detailed delivery plans, schedules, resource plans, and status reports, provides advanced support for employees and contractors end users to evaluate and support operational changes, enhancements, and modifications to platform or software packages based on operational or security related needs Helps design, test, evaluate, implement and support various platforms (hardware, operating systems, software and system tools) Provides direct technical support guidance in life cycle planning, problem management, integration and systems programming Collaborates with senior business and technology leaders to drive strategic initiatives Develop, maintain, and communicate delivery KPIs, dashboards, release performance metrics, and quality indicators to leadership, provide timely, accurate information and status updates Drives United’s technology best practices, processes and functions with mentoring from senior leaders in the Infrastructure and Engineering organizations Coordinates release readiness activities, deployment scheduling, change planning, and post-deployment validation for applications, updates, patches, and OS/firmware releases Leads the implementation of releases, upgrades, and changes into the environment while interfacing with the senior leaders, internal/external business partners, vendors and contractors Partners with cybersecurity teams to ensure compliance with secure configuration and enterprise risk-management practices Serves as the primary escalation and coordination point for deployment issues, release blockers, and cross team dependencies Oversees the creation and maintenance of runbooks, deployment documentation, and standardized operating procedures Implements automation opportunities to reduce manual effort, eliminate rework, and increase reliability

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or Business Administration
  • Minimum of 4+ years of IT experience
  • Minimum of 4+ years of people management experience with direct reports
  • General knowledge of various IT disciplines such as desktop, laptop and mobility, end user devices, Window OS, Mac OS, iOS, MDM, Voice, O365, Conference Room Collab Technology
  • Excellent organization and communication skills with a strong background in project management,
  • Strong understanding of infrastructure, telecommunication, mobility, end point standards/practices, and excellent customer service skills
  • Understanding of software lifecycle management, including catalog accuracy, EOL/EOS planning, governance, and asset reclamation
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship
  • Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification
  • Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position

Nice To Haves

  • 5+ years of IT experience
  • 5+ years of people management experience with direct reports
  • Familiarity with endpoint management tools (e.g., Intune, Workspace ONE, JAMF) and their use in device configuration, application deployment, and lifecycle operations
  • Experience with software and/or hardware asset lifecycle management, including catalog accuracy, EOL/EOS planning, governance, and asset reclamation
  • Working knowledge of observability, telemetry, AI-driven insights, continuous delivery pipelines and workflows in enterprise technology environments
