About The Position

Requirements

  • Associate Degree in related field.
  • Current NM Paramedic license plus 1 year EMS Management experience.
  • Three years of EMS experience may be substituted in lieu of the minimum education requirement.

Responsibilities

  • Observe operational procedures and practices of each shift on a regular basis (not less than quarterly.
  • Plan all weekly, monthly, and yearly personnel schedules.
  • Coordinate hiring of all field operations personnel; coordinate management and medical training of supervisory personnel.
  • Oversee inventory of major medical equipment and supplies.
  • Project short and long term needs for service, revenue, personnel, capital etc., as it relates to operations.
  • Develop disaster response criteria for department.
  • Attends all City/County EMS Authority Meetings and other ancillary department meetings as needed.
  • Formalizes and approves Q.A./Maintenance records for all Emergency Medical Equipment utilized by operations personnel.
  • Maintains and updates Espanola s Policy and Procedure Manual as needed
  • Develops and implements an Accident Investigation and Prevention Program for the department.
