Your Job: The Manager of Employee Benefits, reporting to the Director Employee Benefits, is a key member of the corporate HR team, responsible for managing the benefits team, implementation, programs, and processes needed to optimize the sponsored health, wellness, welfare, and retirement plans. This position will work closely with internal business partners across the organization to continually enhance and improve Company’s health programs for employees and their families, while ensuring programs remain innovative, competitive, and aligned with strategic business objectives. Your Job Requirements: • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Human Resources, or equivalent work experience • Certified Benefits Professional (CBP) or CEBS certification preferred. • Minimum 2 years of management experience and increasing responsibility in health & wellness benefits plan design, implementation, and strategy • Strong business partnering, communication, and interpersonal skills • Experience in facilitating and leading cross functional teams to deliver goals and objectives • Excellent interpersonal skills, including: influencing, facilitating, relationship-building, and coaching across division and functions • Strong business partnering, communication, and interpersonal skills • High level of proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite, or similar products • Lawson and Successfactors experience preferred Your Job Responsibilities: • Responsible for overseeing the design and implementation of health, welfare, and retirement plans; ensure consistency of company-wide processes through collaboration with HR business partners; ensure plans are effective in terms of attracting and retaining top talent. • Responsible for directing the administration of all health and welfare benefit programs, such as group insurance, medical, dental, disability, life, voluntary supplemental plans, Section 125, employee assistance plan, etc. • Recommend and implement benefit strategies, initiatives, policies and objectives. Ensure these policies and objectives are cost effective, leading edge technology and consistent with the company’s business plans. • Leverage quantitative and qualitative analysis to inform and drive decisions and recommendations; assesses the use of metrics within the various functions of Benefits to determine what is required to monitor program impact and efficiency. • Oversee regular audit controls concerning benefit administration including, but not limited to: contributions during leaves of absence, biweekly payroll deductions for benefits and 403(b), biweekly 403(b) loan reconciliation, verification that such deductions are in alignment with rate sheets provided. • Coordinate and ensure compliance with Affordable Care Act, ERISA, Department of Labor, and Internal Revenue Service. (E.g. plan documents, annual 5500 filings, responses to legal agencies, etc.) • Stay abreast of best practices and industry trends; participate in professional associations as well as informal peer networking, and maintain an ongoing awareness of best practices and trends, regarding benefits; guide business, finance, and HR teams in this area, providing insight, analysis, and recommendations. • Responsible for developing/leading training, communicating, and educating both leadership and employees on the benefit package. • Manage vendor relationships to include researching and implementing new offerings, meeting with vendors for quarterly or annual Coach, develop, and manage direct team members to build organizational capability and provide opportunities for job enrichment; ensures service excellence is a key priority among all team members, and serves as a role model by embodying the characteristics of strong leadership reviews and follow up, and acting as a liaison to ensure good communication along with resolving any administrative issues.
