About The Position

JOB SUMMARY: Research, develop, and customize EHS learning solutions to support Universal Orlando EHS Training program. Delivers and facilitates company specific EHS and regulatory training for all Team Members. Strategize regulatory learning plan for Resort to meet established annual departmental and company goals. Supervise EHS Training team to achieve best team performance. Maintain strong client working relationships with every level of the organization. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES: Deliver and facilitate structured safety and regulatory training and development programs and initiatives in support of the company’s training plan, objectives, and brand essence. Training sessions shall include classroom, demonstrative (hands-on), and select online curriculum. Develop or review all EHS Training materials to ensure quality and conformance with UO and/or Global EHS Standards and local regulations. Identify EHS Training needs based on work task exposures and compliance requirement. Identify competent and or qualified internal and external resources to deliver all training courses to Team Members. Provide Train the Trainer (TTT) to EHS and select departmental trainers to develop competent EHS Trainer resources. Track all EHS Training completions and training documentation to include training content, knowledge assessments, demonstrative evaluations (where applicable), sign-in rosters, etc. and report EHS Training conformance to meet local regulation, UO, and Corporate expectations. Take action to ensure the role functions cohesively and in alignment with the whole of the site EHS function. Communicates a single EHS vision and mission with one set of established goals and objectives. Supports and collaborates with all EHS peer leadership related to resources and communications for clarity of message with business partners. Understand and actively participate in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training and team member involvement activities. Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from a four year college or university in safety management, or other related field is preferred or equivalent experience.
  • 5-7 Years: At least 3 years of EHS experience in an industrial setting or related consulting required; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience should include EHS management system knowledge, general EHS topic background, training experience, supervision, planning, and scheduling.
  • Read and interpret OSHA and/or International regulations and consensus standards
  • Strong communication skills inclusive of speaking and writing
  • Effectively present information in on-on-one and small group situations to clients and others
  • Plan and organize processes and teams of people, maintain schedules, develop and communicate summary reports to executive levels of the business

  • Theme Park specific experience is highly preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
