ROLE OVERVIEW Reporting to the Regional Director, the Manager, Ecosystem Engagement & Business Development at BioLabs Princeton drives occupancy growth, business development, and customer success. This role focuses on building a strong pipeline of resident companies, developing strategic partnerships, supporting the regional ecosystem, and ensuring an exceptional resident experience. Working closely with the Regional Director, the Manager contributes to site growth, visibility, and ecosystem integration.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree (MBA, MS, or PhD in life sciences or related field) preferred
  • 3–5+ years of experience in business development, partnerships, customer success, or related roles, preferably within biotech, life sciences, or innovation ecosystems
  • Demonstrated ability to build and manage pipelines, develop partnerships, and support revenue-generating activities
  • Strong relationship-building and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage across academia, venture capital, and industry
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
  • Highly organized, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Collaborative team player with the ability to work independently and cross-functionally
  • Willingness to attend after-hours events and travel as needed

Responsibilities

  • Drive occupancy through pipeline development, lead generation, and conversion support
  • Manage prospective companies and support the full sales cycle
  • Track and report on pipeline and occupancy metrics
  • Build strong relationships with residents to ensure satisfaction, retention, and engagement
  • Deliver a consistent high-touch, white-glove experience
  • Develop relationships with universities, venture capital firms, and industry partners
  • Support initiatives that strengthen pipeline, programming, and site visibility
  • Support marketing efforts and community engagement activities
  • Collaborate on events and programming
  • Conduct market analysis and support pricing and growth strategies
  • Assist with reporting, proposals, and partnership materials
  • Partner with the Regional Director and BioLabs teams to ensure aligned execution and performance
