The position involves the design and development of exterior lighting systems, including head lamps, tail lamps, and roof lamps. The candidate will be responsible for independently handling these projects while utilizing cutting-edge lighting technologies such as LED, OLED, laser, and adaptive lighting systems to create visually appealing and functional designs. The role requires collaboration in a cross-functional team (CFT) environment, preparing and tracking new head lamp design timelines, and proposing and evaluating designs based on regulatory requirements. The candidate will also support ongoing lighting system concerns and design updates, conduct design reviews with suppliers and the CFT, and interact with the styling team to finalize design proposals, addressing feedback based on benchmarks and lessons learned. Additionally, the role involves collaborating with suppliers to develop and modify 3D models, assemblies, and drawings using Catia V5 software, providing technical support in Catia V5 design for automotive lighting systems, and conducting market research to understand customer needs and emerging trends in vehicle lighting.
