This requires us to deliver on our promises and always look for new opportunities to grow, both ourselves and our business Job PurposeThe Drug & Alcohol Compliance Manager is part of the New England Integrated Absence Management team and is responsible for leading the Drug & Alcohol Compliance team. This role is responsible for drug and alcohol compliance throughout the New England Business Unit.Key Accountabilities Provide guidance to all colleagues within the New England Business Unit on all drug and alcohol related matters. Provide information and consultation regarding drug and alcohol matters to HR business partners, Labor Relations, and Legal. Develop and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders to ensure effective implementation of National Grid’s drug and alcohol compliance programs. Responsible for managing the relationship with National Grid’s Third-Party Administrator which includes interpretation and application of established company policies, collective bargaining agreements, and state and federal drug and alcohol regulations. Manage and coordinate all drug and alcohol testing including random, pre-employment, follow up, post-accident, reasonable suspicion, and return to duty Manage the mandatory referral process through National Grid’s Employee Assistance Program Maintain a working knowledge of state and federal regulations as well as industry standards for drug & alcohol compliance. Specifically, 49 CFR Parts 40, 199, and 382. This position involves extensive interaction with employees, both management and union, from all functions within the New England Business Unit Responsible for providing coverage for Absence Management Director as needed
