About The Position

The Manager, Dome Operators will drive our groundbreaking immersive technology, creating incredible experiences for our guests. Cosm is looking for an inspirational leader with experience in a live entertainment or hospitality environment. We’re looking for individuals who put customers first and always strive to provide the highest level of service. The ideal candidate would be organized, motivated, and proactive to ensure that venue operations are running smoothly. You will lead a team that is responsible for the maintenance, support, and operation of Cosm’s groundbreaking audio/visual immersive display systems throughout the Cosm Venue. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Broadcasting, Audio Production, Film, Television and Digital Media or similar relevant fields preferred.
  • At least 3 years of experience leading and developing a technical team in a live entertainment environment.
  • Passion for hospitality, entertainment, and cool technology required.
  • Experience in Audio, Lighting, Broadcast, IT, and/or streaming IP video workflows.
  • Familiarity with audio/visual signal flows and diagrams, and AV automation systems preferred.
  • Familiarity with Windows, OBS, Blackmagic, QSYS, DMX lighting, IPTVs, Unreal, Osprey encoders.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Must be enthusiastic, self-motivated, and organized.
  • Strong leadership, decision-making and problem-solving skills, with a proven ability to remain calm under pressure.
  • Must be able to work during live events, with high noise levels, and busy environments.
  • Must be able to work during late nights and weekends.

Nice To Haves

  • Any additional relevant diploma or certification, or industry experience with large venue AV technology is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Operate Cosm display systems during high-profile events, private events, and demos. Must be present and contributing during key weekend events, which often include late nights.
  • Collaborate across multiple teams including Venue IT, Venue personnel, Technical Directors, and additional support staff to always provide a Cosmworthy experience.
  • Lead, train and motivate the Dome Operator team to perform at their highest level in a fast-paced, high-energy environment.
  • Develop an optimized Operator schedule to ensure coverage across key venue events, all digital displays within the venue, and all venue A/V systems.
  • Ensure venue presentation systems are in a constant state of readiness.
  • Maintain comprehensive systems knowledge to support special events, visiting artists, and guests.
  • Contribute technical feedback to the Cosm product development staff to advance tool functionality.
  • Become an expert in an array of audio, visual, and lighting systems that all come together to deliver the Cosm Experience.
  • Monitor scheduled events/demonstrations and proactively coordinate with AV Operators.
  • Log and track issues across all systems with attention to detail focused on firmware and hardware functionality.
  • Perform preventive maintenance including running system backups and upkeep.
  • Anticipate challenges, stay proactive and pivot quickly under pressure to ensure smooth operations, no matter what challenges arise.
  • Focus on the guest experience at all times.
