About The Position

Responsible for placing safety as #1 priority in day-to-day work routine for self and others. Provides overall leadership and management of natural gas operations within the district. Manages all functions of a district including customer growth activities, construction and/or service departments and operational support and warehousing personnel. Responsible to achieve company and regional goals and objectives within the district.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of energy operations at a level normally acquired through a Bachelor's degree in engineering, project or business management, or related field or applicable work experience.
  • Seven years of progressively responsible experience in the energy industry including electric and/or natural gas utility operations, customer service, and employee relations.
  • Prior supervisory or leadership experience.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States, no sponsorships considered.
  • Subject to pre-employment drug testing and background checks.

Responsibilities

  • Protect networks, devices, programs and data from cyber-attack, damage or unauthorized access.
  • Maintain a valid driver's license.
  • Manage District staff to maximize productivity and teamwork.
  • Provide work direction and resources, manage performance, employee training and development.
  • Administer company policies and labor agreements, and lead improvement efforts.
  • Promote a safe, positive, respectful, and inclusive working environment.
  • Hire and retain a diverse workforce of highly qualified employees.
  • Ensure effective employee development and succession planning within the district.
  • Set employee performance goals and implement objectives to ensure high levels of performance.
  • Ensure all company and regional policies, procedures, practices, guidelines and directives; and governmental requirements are consistently applied within the district.
  • Perform other tasks and special projects as assigned.
