About The Position

Mohawk is looking for a Distribution Manager who is responsible for meeting established performance standards, profitability objectives, and adherence to safety regulations. This person will use their industry and business knowledge and understanding to provide direction to the team according to established policies and drive creative solutions to reach defined business goals and objectives.

Requirements

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Experience with a Warehouse Management System, SAP or AS400 preferred.
  • Ability to use personal computer utilizing software such as MSOffice Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Powerpoint)
  • Broad knowledge of and experience with industrial warehousing and product distribution functions such as shipping, receiving, inventory control, work scheduling and customer service.
  • Proven track record of success in leading and motivating a team in a warehouse environment.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and successful application of sound employee relations practices including coaching and corrective action.
  • Focused on and responsible for their team's productivity and collective impact.
  • High level of integrity and discretion in handling sensitive and confidential data.
  • Flexible attitude, adaptable to change, team player, and able to handle multiple projects at once

Responsibilities

  • Foster a positive and collaborative team culture focused on productivity and safety.
  • Promote safe work environment through adherence to OSHA regulations as well as Mohawk Safety policies and standards. Conduct regular safety meetings.
  • Oversee the receiving, storing, and issuing of products, ensuring accuracy and compliance with established procedures.
  • Lead a team of associates, providing guidance, training, and support.
  • Coordinate order picking, packing, and shipping activities to meet customer requirements and deadlines.
  • Monitor order accuracy and implement quality control measures.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement efficiency-enhancing initiatives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline warehouse operations.
  • Generate regular reports on warehouse performance and key metrics.
  • Cross train and develop employee skills for work coverage and future growth opportunities.
  • Ensure all employees comply with corporate policies and procedures.
  • Ensure all employees are treated in a fair, equitable and consistent manner.
  • Implement inventory control measures to minimize discrepancies and optimize stock levels.
  • Assist in loading freight when needed.
  • Perform site audits/training at other sites as requested
  • Performs other duties as needed.
