About The Position

The Manager of the Discovery Shop at the American Cancer Society is responsible for driving sales, managing a team, and ensuring excellent customer service in a retail environment. Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required; preferred four years of retail management experience.
• Minimum of 3 years of management experience in a fast-paced retail environment.
• Strong sales and customer service skills.
• Proficient in basic business software and POS systems.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Meet and maintain sales goals with a target of $500k.
• Manage a team of paid staff and/or volunteers, ensuring effective customer service and store maintenance.
• Drive customer loyalty through effective interactions and service.
• Execute critical operating procedures accurately and hold the team accountable.
• Recruit, supervise, train, and assist employees and volunteers in achieving store goals.
• Maintain proper inventory levels and implement merchandise acquisition plans.
• Manage controllable costs to maintain profitability.
• Develop a business and marketing plan with an emphasis on social media.
• Ensure the store remains clean and presentable at all times.
• Complete all action items assigned by the Regional Director.
