The Manager – DevOps Cloud Engineer oversees DevOps projects and teams, ensuring the delivery of scalable, secure, and reliable cloud infrastructure and automation solutions. This role provides technical leadership, manages resources, and partners with stakeholders to align DevOps initiatives with business objectives while driving adoption of best practices.

Requirements

  • 5–7 years of experience in DevOps or cloud engineering, with at least 2 years in a leadership capacity.
  • Experience managing teams and delivering DevOps solutions in enterprise or regulated environments.
  • Strong expertise with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Proficiency in CI/CD tools (e.g., Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins).
  • Experience overseeing Infrastructure-as-Code practices (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation, ARM templates).
  • Familiarity with monitoring, observability, and incident management frameworks.
  • Strong understanding of DevOps governance and security standards (including SSDLC).
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Ability to mentor, motivate, and develop high-performing teams.
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.

Nice To Haves

  • Professional certifications in cloud or DevOps (e.g., AWS DevOps Engineer, Microsoft Azure DevOps Engineer Expert, Kubernetes Administrator) preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and guide the design, implementation, and optimization of CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure automation, and cloud deployments.
  • Manage a team of DevOps engineers, providing coaching, feedback, and career development support.
  • Review and validate solutions to ensure quality, scalability, security, and compliance.
  • Ensure consistent application of DevOps practices, governance standards, and SDLC/SSDLC principles.
  • Collaborate with product owners, developers, and IT teams to align priorities and manage dependencies.
  • Drive improvements in automation frameworks, monitoring practices, and infrastructure reliability.
  • Support change management by enabling stakeholders to adopt new DevOps tools and processes.
  • Serve as an escalation point for complex technical or stakeholder issues.
  • Contribute to departmental planning and cross-functional initiatives.
