About The Position

Self-motivated professional overseeing all phases of construction projects at Sarasota Memorial Health Care System. Responsible for end-to-end project management, including estimating, scheduling, and procurement of design and construction contracts. Skilled in negotiating costs and contract terms with consultants and vendors. Serves as the primary liaison between hospital departments and project teams throughout design and construction phases. Ensures project execution aligns with safety standards, design specifications, and regulatory requirements. Actively participates in public selection processes for architectural, engineering, and construction services.

Requirements

• Require a bachelor's degree in related field. Relevant industry experience can substitute for degree.
• Require a minimum of seven (7) years of construction/renovation project management experience.

• Prefer demonstrated ability to communicate on a professional level with hospital staff, architects and contractors.
• Prefer demonstrated ability to interpret and understand construction contract, blueprints and similar construction documents.
• Prefer demonstrated ability to oversee construction projects involving all phases of construction in an occupied and operating healthcare facility.
• Prefer demonstrated ability to maintain records, conduct conferences, observe work in progress for conformance with contract documents.
• Prefer demonstrated ability to direct outside consultants in design, construction or renovation-related activities.
• Prefer demonstrated knowledge of construction work scheduling principles and project budget management.
• Prefer demonstrated ability to perform project budget monitoring and scheduling.
• Prefer demonstrated contract negotiating skills.
