Manager, Deployment Automation

General Dynamics Information Technology
$118,150 - $159,850Remote

About The Position

We are seeking a hands-on, technically strong Manager to lead our Deployment Automation team. This position will support our Healthcare Integrated General Ledger Accounting System (HIGLAS) program with the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS). This team serves as the controlled execution arm for manual and automated code and configuration deployments on behalf of delivery teams, ensuring proper segregation of duties and protection of enterprise environments. The team is also responsible for environment cloning and synchronization, and for administering and optimizing our deployment and source control toolchain, currently including FlexDeploy and GitLab. This role requires a leader who can deliver measurable results quickly—someone who avoids getting bogged down in excessive planning and instead drives tangible progress through focused execution, automation, and clear priorities. While this team partners closely with Security, it does not own security governance; rather, it operates with a strong gatekeeper mindset to protect environments and enforce controls. The ideal candidate combines deep technical and automation expertise, DevSecOps vision, operational discipline, executive presence, and the ability to market team impact through well-defined KPIs and visible wins.
