About The Position

This position is responsible for the creation of future demand forecasts through a combination of market analysis, statistical modeling projections, and collaboration with the entire Planning organization in support of S&OP. The role involves managing the rolling 27-month item level Demand forecast for very complex and highly visible businesses within SAP IBP. Key responsibilities include reviewing and maintaining statistical algorithms, ensuring forecast accuracy and bias results, and collaborating with cross-functional partners to understand all impacts to the forecast, such as promotions, competitive activity, seasonality, retail consumption, and customer behavior. The manager will also facilitate monthly S&OP/Demand meetings, execute daily analysis and reporting on Demand performance, and act as a Demand/S&OP process champion, influencing process adherence and maturity. Requirements

  • Strong computer skills; 90% of computer time will be utilizing SAP IBP
  • Excellent analytical, written and verbal communication skills are necessary
  • Strong organization skills and ability to effectively multi-task in a dynamic and fast-paced environment is required

Nice To Haves

  • BS or BA degree preferred
  • 5 + years of relevant experience preferred
  • Familiarity with varying statistical algorithms (Fourier/Multiple Linear Regression/etc.) and statistical modeling principles preferred
  • Experience working with a large national manufacturer / distributor in key supply chain topics like Demand, Inventory, Distribution, and Production is strongly preferred

Responsibilities

  • Manage the rolling 27 month item level Demand forecast for very complex and highly visible businesses within SAP IBP
  • Review and maintain statistical algorithms within SAP IBP, adjusting historical patterns and future projections as needed
  • Responsible for maintaining Forecast Accuracy results at the weekly-item level, monthly Bias results and supporting related fill rate and distress metrics
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners to understand all impacts to the forecast, including promotions, competitive activity, seasonality, retail consumption, customer behavior (pricing/distribution/etc.)
  • Facilitate monthly S&OP/Demand meetings with Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Supply Chain partners
  • Execute daily analysis and reporting on Demand performance, providing critical intelligence on business history, trends, and future assumptions
  • Act as Demand/S&OP process champion in cross-functional meetings; influencing participants towards process adherence, adoption, and maturity
  • Leader among peers and cross functional partners
  • Demonstrates advanced IBP and reporting system understanding and knowledge to support design decisions with the COE team
