  • Lead and manage data science projects, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with business goals.
  • Develop and maintain data models, algorithms, and reporting systems to support data analysis and decision-making.
  • Analyze complex datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights that drive strategic initiatives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data needs and provide actionable insights.
  • Ensure data quality and integrity through regular audits and validation processes.
  • Mentor and guide junior data scientists, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
  • Own a distinct domain and be responsible for end outcomes.
  • Own holistic and data-driven risk strategies to support PayPal's global financial business goals.
  • Plan and execute long-term projects from start to finish.
  • Drive end-to-end processes with partners across many organizations.
  • Work with product and platform teams to develop cutting edge, scalable and safe products, to enhance the experience for our global customers.
  • Measure performance against KPIs and goals.
  • Maintain ongoing communication with stakeholders and peers across the company and share updates with senior leaders in a clear manner.
  • Lead and mentor your team members.
  • Minimum of 8 years of relevant work experience and a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Bachelor's Degree or above in one of the following: economics, finance, engineering, exact sciences, etc. (MBA - an advantage).
  • 8+ years of work experience in relevant positions (e.g. Decision scientist, data analyst, statistician, data scientist, FP&A, product/process manager, risk management, army intelligence units).
  • 2+ year of experience as people manager.
  • Proven analytical skills.
  • Technical orientation; Experience in SQL / R / Python / other programming language - a must.
  • Excellent English verbal and written communication skills.
  • Quick-thinker, fast learner, wide general knowledge, problem solver.
