About The Position

Lead a team of analysts that support pricing analysis, business case development, and returns-based modeling for the Deal Desk team; lead analysis for potential new business opportunities (VIP agreements, rebate agreements, bundled pricing, general rate increases, creative pricing ideas, and marine / domestic contract negotiations). Retrospective review of agreements to determine profitability of renewals and assist with strategic planning initiatives and long-term financial modeling.

Requirements

  • Degree in finance, accounting, economics, or related field
  • 5 - 7 years’ finance experience
  • Financial modeling guru
  • Excel & PowerPoint presentation skills
  • Excellent analytical & problem-solving skills
  • Experience leading and managing a team desired
  • Clear and concise verbal and written communicator
  • Comfortable in fast-paced team setting
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and consistently meet deadlines
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening
  • Must be able to work 4 days per week onsite at our Charlotte office

Nice To Haves

  • Transportation industry experience desired
  • PE, VC, Corp Dev, Investment Banking background experience a plus

Responsibilities

  • Manage a team of analysts, providing guidance and mentorship
  • Lead returns and profitability analysis to determine pricing for organic growth models
  • Work directly with the commercial team to help develop new pricing concepts
  • Provide the financial support for major customer contract negotiations
  • Assist in developing reporting tools to monitor customer performance and evaluate the success of new products
  • Build and manage post-mortem analyses for customer pricing
  • Research and inform team of key industry trends
  • Lead returns analysis and diligence for potential business cases, and strategic initiatives
