About The Position

In this role, you will lead a team of data scientists focused on product analytics, providing actionable insights that guide product strategy, inform decision-making, and measure the impact of new features. You will collaborate closely with product managers, designers, engineers, and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure data-driven decision-making across teams. Your responsibilities include managing delivery timelines, ensuring data quality, and developing accessible data products and reporting tools. You will mentor and develop team members, fostering a culture of collaboration, critical thinking, and data-informed storytelling. Operating in a fast-paced, remote environment, your work will directly influence product development, experimentation, and strategy. Requirements

  • Proven experience managing a team of data scientists in a fast-paced product environment
  • Strong expertise in experimental design, statistical analysis, and quantitative methods applied to large-scale user or audience data
  • Hands-on experience collaborating with product teams to analyze and evaluate features and user behavior
  • Familiarity with large-scale data processing and storage tools (e.g., Hadoop, Hive, Presto, Spark)
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey insights and recommendations to diverse stakeholders
  • High emotional intelligence, mentorship ability, and a collaborative leadership style
  • Curiosity, critical thinking, and ability to navigate ambiguity and complex environments
  • Commitment to equity, inclusion, and ethical data practices; prior experience in open-source or collaborative projects a plus

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a team of data scientists, overseeing timely delivery of accurate and actionable insights
  • Partner with product teams to inform strategy, guide feature development, and assess impact through experimentation and analysis
  • Develop and maintain data products, dashboards, and visualization tools to make insights accessible across the organization
  • Establish shared processes for data collection, reporting, and quality assurance
  • Mentor team members on technical skills, critical thinking, and data-informed storytelling
  • Collaborate with Experiment Platform and Data Engineering teams to ensure scalable and robust data infrastructure
  • Promote a culture of collaboration, inclusion, and continuous improvement within the analytics team
