The Opportunity We are looking for an experienced Manager, Privacy Program Management to join the Data Privacy and Security Legal team. Our team supports the entire business—from strategic counseling to building and scaling our data security and privacy program. Our goal is to advance compliance with data protection laws in a balanced, pragmatic, and risk-based manner that enables business growth while drawing on deep industry expertise and best practices. This role is based in Los Gatos, CA and reports to the Sr. Manager, Privacy Program Management. The ideal candidate will serve as a trusted partner in driving operational excellence for our global privacy initiatives.
Requirements
- 5+ years as a Privacy Program Manager, with a proven track record of building and managing privacy programs and accountability frameworks.
- Experience in entertainment, online advertising, and/or tech is required; in-house legal experience is a plus.
- Strong substantive knowledge of applied privacy laws.
- Ability to work well under pressure with diligence, organization, and minimal supervision, and provide practical advice to stakeholders.
- Excellent judgment and the ability to communicate concisely and candidly.
- Solid project management skills and strong attention to detail.
- Comfortable with technology and eager to leverage AI productivity tools to enhance workflows.
- Intellectually curious, flexible, and inspired by the Netflix Culture.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with content/workflow management systems and privacy tools (e.g., OneTrust) is a plus.
- A bachelor’s degree, preferred but not required.
- A sense of humor.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the design and roll out program management frameworks that monitor and advance privacy compliance efforts.
- Develop and manage scalable systems (metrics, dashboards, reporting) to track and report privacy goals and initiatives to leadership and stakeholders.
- Dive deep into business operations and legal workflows to surface gaps, risks, and opportunities to streamline and strengthen privacy practices.
- Develop actionable privacy tools and resources for legal teams (e.g., guidance, training, standard processes, review/approval workflows).
- Build strong, collaborative relationships with partners across Privacy/Security, Legal, and business partners to enable smooth implementation and adoption of new processes and tools.
- Bring cross‑functional partners along, ensuring they’re aligned, engaged, and delivering clear, measurable improvements in privacy compliance.
