DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Manage projects and deliver data pipelines for Data Science and Analytics projects within the Westlake Digital Program. Design, develop, and optimize scalable data architectures from various IT and OT data sources for digital applications and solutions. Solve complex data problems to provide valuable insights aligned with business goals. Lead a team of data engineers, architects, and scientists, ensuring efficient project execution and adherence to Agile methodologies and best practices. Collaborate with stakeholders, develop strategic roadmaps, enforce data standards, foster innovation, and align data initiatives with company objectives. Manage projects or project work packages to deliver data pipelines for various Data Science and Analytics projects within the Westlake Digital Program. Develop, engineer, and deploy data pipelines to deliver Analytic and Data Science solutions in collaboration with the Data Science team. Design, develop, optimize, and deploy scalable data architectures from a variety of IT and OT data sources to deliver digital applications. Solve complex data problems to deliver insights that align with business goals. Manage a team of internal and external data engineers, architects, and data scientists, ensuring efficient project execution and adherence to Agile project management methodologies and Software Development practices. Develop and implement strategic roadmaps for data architecture and engineering projects to align with long-term business objectives. Design, develop, optimize, and maintain scalable data architecture to meet long-term enterprise needs for a variety of data (structured, unstructured) from various sources (IT/OT), managed using different strategies (cloud, on-prem, hybrid), catering to diverse data consumers including analysts, users, data scientists, citizen developers, and applications. Proactively build data products and services in collaboration with the Data Science team to improve the productivity of the Digital Office. Collaborate with various stakeholders, including the Digital Office, manufacturing sites, and functional groups (supply chain, customer experience, logistics, procurement, controlling, IS/IT, etc.), to understand their data and insights needs and develop data architecture strategies accordingly. Develop and enforce data standards and data governance practices in collaboration with the Digital Office, ensuring compliance and educating users and stakeholders across the organization. Foster the development of reusable, scalable, and efficient data products, data services, and analytic solutions. Continuously improve data-related operational processes and documentation, implementing best practices and driving efficiency gains. Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to the data architecture and engineering team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and professional growth. Develop a staffing model for the Data Architecture and Data Engineering teams, ensuring the right talent is in place to support current and future projects. Collaborate with other managerial and executive stakeholders to align data architecture and engineering initiatives with broader company goals and strategies. Act as a representative of the data architecture and engineering function, resolving issues, and serving as a resource to corporate, plant, and project management.
