This role leads the design, implementation, and operation of scalable, secure, and high-performance data and AI infrastructure to empower analytics, data science, and machine learning teams. You will oversee data pipelines, model deployment frameworks, and cloud-based infrastructure, ensuring operational efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and compliance with governance standards. The position requires both strategic leadership and hands-on technical expertise, managing a team of engineers to drive innovation and deliver impactful projects. Collaboration across cross-functional teams is key, with responsibilities spanning infrastructure optimization, workflow automation, and adoption of emerging technologies. Success in this role is measured by the ability to improve performance, enable data-driven decision-making, and ensure infrastructure supports long-term business goals.
Requirements
- Bachelorâs degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or related field; Masterâs preferred
- 5+ years of experience in data engineering, ML/AI infrastructure, or similar technical roles
- Minimum 2 years of experience managing or leading technical teams
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms, data pipelines, ML model deployment, and scalable infrastructure design
- Familiarity with data governance, security, and regulatory compliance
- Strong leadership, collaboration, and communication skills

- Relevant certifications (AWS, GCP, Azure) are a plus but not required
Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of Data Analytics and ML/AI Engineers, driving technical excellence and team development
- Design, implement, and maintain scalable and secure data pipelines, data lakes, and AI/ML deployment frameworks
- Develop cloud-based infrastructure and microservices to streamline model operationalization
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and deliver tailored infrastructure solutions
- Automate data ingestion, transformation, and ML/AI workflows to improve efficiency and reliability
- Monitor and optimize infrastructure performance, scalability, and cost-efficiency
- Ensure compliance with data governance policies and regulatory standards
- Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies, recommending innovations to maintain a competitive edge
