This role works in our Phoenix Home Office. Visa sponsorship is not offered for this role. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Manager to lead our Data Technology team. As the Manager of Data Delivery, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our data-driven organization and contribute significantly to our success. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in Data Engineering and will be responsible for leading a team of engineers to develop and deliver high-quality products that align with our business objectives.

  • Lead and mentor a high-performing organization of engineers and analysts.
  • Acquires and develops data, analytics and integration engineering talent.
  • Ensures appropriate resource management and planning.
  • Accountable for project delivery and communication to stakeholders and executive leadership, ensuring transparency and alignment.
  • Build and maintain relationships with vendors and technology partners negotiating cost and reviewing contract.
  • Stay up to date with emerging technologies and best practices, and identify opportunities for their integration into our systems.
  • Develop and manage the IT budget, ensuring expenditures are in line with business objectives and goals.
  • Partner with external vendors to augment resources and meet project demands effectively.
  • Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills, conveying technical information clearly and concisely.
  • Actively engage in informal communication with team members and other stakeholders to promote continuous information exchange.
  • Optimizes team processes and maturing of best practices.
  • Develops relevant artifacts for communication, direction, delivery, quality, and solutions for the roadmap.
  • Embrace the Buil-It-Run-It operating model by ensuring the team owns solutions end-to-end while serving as the primary escalation point and acting as Incident Commander Role to coordinate rapid response to Critical Production Incidents.
  • Engineering leader with experience in the Retail and CPG Technology space.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in data engineering, analytics engineering, or project management.
  • 2+ years of experience managing teams of engineers, data scientists, and analysts.
  • Strong understanding of data architecture, data management, and data governance principles.
  • Experience with agile methodologies and software development best practices.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms and technologies, such as Google Cloud, and their data services.
  • Experience working with the latest cloud data platforms and technologies such as Databricks, Snowflake and TIBCO and Enterprise Business Intelligence technologies like MicroStrategy, Tableau, Power BI, ThoughtSpot and/or Sigma.
