Job Summary Receives objective based assignments, and determines resources to meet schedules and goals. Provides guidance to subordinates within the latitude of established company policies. Recommends changes to policies and establishes procedures that affect section or multiple disciplines. Decisions impact others in the immediate team and influences methods and techniques. Executes financials, business planning, organizational priorities and workforce.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Technology, Facilities Management, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
• Experience in data center operations, facilities management, or critical infrastructure environments

Responsibilities

• Manages supervisors and professional individual contributors.
• Guides through well defined management precedents
• Manages teams to work safely, effectively and with high regard to human error avoidance
• Manages personnel details including salaries, positioning, hire/fire, reviews, coaching and development
• Aids in testing, project management, and resolving incidents
• Plans, coordinates, reviews budgets, and implements resources to complete projects and maintenance within the data centers
• Provides input and guidance towards budget
• Overall site capacity management
• Translates functional plans into operational processes and guides execution
• Oversees contractor work and operations to ensure completion to Equinix's required standards, (KPI's) Key Performance Indicators and (SLA's) Service Level Agreements
• Ensures correct processes are followed and all documentation is complete
• Takeover of new builds and building infrastructure
• Writes all (MOP) Maintenance Operation Protocol scripts
• Communicates and coordinates activities and on-site staff during an incident
• Assists with root cause analysis and incident resolution
