Job Purpose The Global Group Lead/Unit Manager for Database and Integration Operations serves as a key leader, driving the efficient operation and continuous improvement of the IT Database and Integration Operations Unit in alignment with the Global (20%) and Regional/AHM (80%) Digital Unit/IT Business Unit objectives. This role is pivotal in setting direction, orchestrating planning, and providing decisive administrative leadership for daily operations. As a leader, the manager oversees both operational and analytical database platforms—including data warehouses, data marts, and data lakes—and ensures robust management of platforms supporting APIs, service buses, and messaging systems. The role demands proactive collaboration with decision-makers across the organization to champion, develop, and implement cost-effective technology solutions and services. Leadership extends to defining and enforcing IT and Data Platform Services strategies, standards, policies, procedures, and best practices, ensuring the unit’s services and applications are aligned with organizational goals. The manager represents the unit in key meetings and workshops, often traveling domestically and internationally to foster global initiatives and cross-regional collaboration. A core aspect of this leadership role is preparing and delivering impactful presentations on strategy, roadmap, and QCD (Quality, Cost, Delivery) performance to stakeholders at all levels. The manager is deeply committed to coaching and mentoring team members, cultivating a culture of engagement, and driving improvements in people engagement scores throughout the unit.
