About The Position

The Manager, Creative Director at Capital One Brand Creative is a strategic leadership role focused on driving innovative and effective creative strategies that enhance the brand's presence in various environments. This position involves managing creative teams, developing environmental branding, experiential marketing, and visual merchandising across multiple channels, including print and digital. The role requires a blend of creativity, strategic thinking, and leadership to inspire teams and deliver impactful brand experiences.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or military experience.
  • At least 3 years of experience leading creative teams.
  • At least 5 years of experience in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, etc.).

Nice To Haves

  • Has created a Creative portfolio that includes produced work for large, integrated marketing campaigns or brand activations.
  • 5+ years of experience as a Creative Director.
  • 2+ years of experience directly managing a creative team.
  • 2+ years of experience in a 3D or spatial design software (e.g., Adobe Substance, Sketchup, etc.).
  • 2+ years of experience in digital design software (e.g., Figma, Adobe XD, etc.).
  • Experience at a large in-house creative team.
  • Experience working with a Fortune 100 brand.
  • Experience in premium, luxury, spatial design, branded environments, or travel marketing.
  • Experience storyboarding, sketching, or wireframing CX and UI/UX.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and inspire the team to develop strategically-grounded, insight-driven creative.
  • Manage creative talent including Art Directors and Copywriters, comprising full-time associates, contractors, and agencies.
  • Empower and inspire full-time associates through coaching and career development.
  • Collaborate with product & marketing strategists and internal business clients to understand customer needs and influence brand strategies.
  • Demonstrate expert knowledge of advertising, marketing, and design trends to create integrated creative strategies.
  • Interpret market research and test results to focus targeted marketing messages.
  • Build and maintain relationships with partner groups to address obstacles and establish Brand Creative as a strategic thought partner.
  • Present and influence with a convincing style to increase buy-in and open new opportunities.
