Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (U.S. or Foreign Equivalent) in Finance, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field and five (5) years of experience in the job offered or a related role.
  • Must have two (2) years of experience with the following: Analyzing supplier contracts, performing cost analysis, and making recommendations for enhancement of cost controlling procedure; Performing P2P process audit on the historical supplier data to provide insights into persistent payment issues, perform financial recoveries at the supplier’s end, and recommend countermeasures; and Strategizing incentives management processes to advise strategic sourcing and operational teams about the current tier levels achieved and propose improvement plans to optimize Minimum Annual Guarantee (MAG) volumes and spend to reduce annual operational expenditure.
  • Must have one (1) year of experience with the following: Working with risk assessment, qualification, performance audits, and spend analysis for the suppliers, including Microsoft Office products and data visualization.
  • Travel required 10% of the time to Home Office in France, India, or US ports and terminals in which either training, process improvements or cost audit are required.

Responsibilities

  • Collect historical cost data to estimate costs for current or future products.
  • Assess cost effectiveness of products, projects or services, tracking actual costs relative to bids as the project develops.
  • Prepare estimates used by management for purposes such as planning, organizing, and scheduling work.
  • Set up cost monitoring and reporting systems and procedures.
  • Conduct special studies to develop and establish standard hour and related cost data or to reduce cost.
  • Apply risk assessment models by serving as a subject matter expert and training the Cost Control team.
  • Identify key areas where costs could be optimized, and revenues maximized and maintain and update internal systems with contractual information that will support automation of invoice control.
  • Execute improvements in the process of control.
  • Support the Director, Cost Control in monitoring complex cases, implement actions to mitigate and reduce potential risk of overbilling or fraud.
  • Support the Director, Cost Control’s management of complex data and suggest alternative sources of information.
  • Validate calculation and report of claims and recoveries.
  • Test and flag the controlled accounts to ensure compliance with HO guidance and SOP.
  • Provide support and engage in a team mindset of high performance, participate in permanent improvement actions, and support a team culture of innovation.
  • Supervise day-to-day activities of Cost Controllers.
