About The Position

The role of the Manager Corporate Accounting Policy involves ensuring compliance with U.S. GAAP and PMI's global accounting policies, assisting with external financial reporting, and contributing to the implementation of complex accounting proposals. The position requires conducting research on financial accounting issues and providing guidance on various complex accounting matters to Senior Management.

Requirements

  • Degree in accounting.
  • Professional certification (e.g., CPA); master's degree is a plus.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in finance and accounting.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in a technical accounting role within a large multinational or audit experience with one of the Big 4 Public Accounting firms.
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Ability to effectively communicate complex information to all levels of management.

Responsibilities

  • Provide guidance on complex accounting matters including revenue recognition, business combinations, financial instruments, leases, shared-based compensation, and income taxes.
  • Conduct accounting research and provide recommendations on the application of new and existing accounting standards.
  • Prepare or update the Company's global accounting policies to ensure compliance with US GAAP.
  • Review material contracts and analyze the effects of contractual provisions on the Company.
  • Monitor new FASB accounting standards and assess their impact on current global accounting policy.
  • Assist in developing and supporting a continual training program on the Company's accounting policies.
  • Work with external auditors to address accounting issues and support annual audits and quarterly reviews.
