About The Position

L3Harris Technologies is looking for a Continuous Improvement Manager with broad knowledge of project management to drive and oversee complex projects or processes with general oversight - focusing on continous improvement intiatives. Communicates within and outside of own function to gain cooperation on operational processes, practices, and procedures. Driving improvements to systems and processes across the site to help the achievement of departmental goals and operating plans with direct impact on business results.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 9 years of relevant continuous improvement experience OR Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of relevant continuous improvement experience OR in lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of relevant continuous improvement experience.
  • 4+ years direct experience working in a continuous improvement role across a production/manufacturing area.
  • 2+ years APQP & Process Control Experience.
  • 2+ years project management experience.
  • Six Sigma Green, Black or Master Belt Certification.

Nice To Haves

  • Composite manufacturing experience in the A&D industry.
  • High volume manufacturing experience.
  • Experience facilitating projects, workshops and coaching teams on CI for positive business outcomes.
  • PMP Cerfitication.
  • Lean Practicioner Certification.

  • Opportunities for problem solving and innovation are complex and may require comprehensive gathering information, analysis and investigation to better understand the problem
  • Problems typically involve consideration of multiple issues, job areas or specialties
  • Problems are generally solved through creative solutions, drawing from prior experience and in-depth analysis of issues
  • Works to achieve operational targets with direct impact on the departmental results
  • Contributes to the development of goals for the department and planning efforts (budgets, operational plans, etc.).
  • Ability to travel between L3Harris Huntsville locatons (geographically despersed).
  • Up to 15% business travel to L3Harris and customer locations.
  • Ability to obtain US Secret Security clearance.
