About The Position

The Manager, Continuous Improvement, is responsible for driving operational excellence across FDH Electronics’ Operations, Quality, and Supply Chain teams by leading structured, data-driven improvement initiatives. This role serves as a key partner to Operations and business unit leadership, translating business objectives into practical process improvements that improve safety, quality, delivery, cost, and inventory performance. The Manager, Continuous Improvement will proactively identify opportunities to eliminate waste, reduce variation, and standardize best practices across the organization. Through hands-on engagement with front-line teams and leaders, this role builds continuous improvement capability, strengthens daily management systems, and ensures improvements are sustained to support scalable growth, customer satisfaction, and long-term operational performance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Business, or a related field required; Master’s or MBA preferred
  • 5+ years of experience in continuous improvement, operations, manufacturing, distribution, or warehouse environments
  • Proven experience leading Lean or process improvement initiatives in an operational setting
  • Lean Six Sigma certification preferred
  • Experience in electronics distribution, manufacturing, or a similar industry is a plus
  • Strong proficiency with data analysis tools and operational systems (e.g. ERP, Excel, BI tools)
  • Demonstrates strong expertise in continuous improvement methodologies, including Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, and 5S, and applies them effectively in operations and warehouse environments.
  • Applies structured problem-solving and root cause analysis to identify issues, develop effective solutions, and deliver measurable, data-backed results
  • Leverages data and performance metrics to evaluate processes, monitor outcomes, and support fact-based decision-making
  • Effectively leads and influences change by engaging stakeholders, communicating clearly, and guiding teams through process transformation.
  • Collaborates across functions and levels of the organization to align improvement initiatives with operational and business objectives.
  • Manages multiple improvement projects simultaneously, prioritizing efforts to deliver maximum operational impact
  • Communicates clearly and facilitates discussions that drive alignment, accountability, and execution
  • Maintains a results-oriented mindset with strong attention to detail, ensuring improvements are implemented, measured, and sustained
  • U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (Green Card holder) or asylee/refugee status as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3) required.
  • ITAR Requirement 120.15. Some positions will require current U.S. Citizenship due to contract requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives across Operations, Quality, and Supply Chain functions to improve productivity, throughput, on-time delivery, labor efficiency, and overall cost to serve.
  • Serve as a change agent by promoting a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence at all levels of the organization.
  • Align improvement initiatives with FDH Electronics’ strategic objectives and operational priorities.
  • Analyze current-state processes using data, process mapping, time studies, and direct observation to identify inefficiencies, waste, and root causes of performance gaps.
  • Design and implement optimized future-state processes that improve flow, reduce variation, and enhance overall operational performance.
  • Develop, document, and standardize operating procedures, workflows, and best practices to ensure consistency and scalability.
  • Lead and facilitate Lean activities such as Kaizen events, value stream mapping, 5S initiatives, and standard work development.
  • Apply structured problem-solving methodologies (e.g., A3, DMAIC, root cause analysis) to drive sustainable, measurable improvements.
  • Support the integration of continuous improvement tools into daily management and operational routines.
  • Partner closely with Operations & Warehouse, Quality, Supply Chain, and IT teams to identify improvement opportunities and implement solutions.
  • Collaborate with leadership to prioritize initiatives and ensure alignment with business goals and resource availability.
  • Support system enhancements and technology-driven improvements that enable more efficient operations.
  • Lead the deployment of continuous improvement initiatives into Operations and Warehouse environments, ensuring solutions are fully operationalized and integrated into day-to-day workflows.
  • Translate improvement designs into clear process documentation, standard work, and role accountability.
  • Drive cross-functional execution, remove implementation barriers, and ensure timelines and impact targets are achieved.
  • Establish and maintain performance metrics and dashboards to validate impact (cost savings, productivity, OTD, service levels).
  • Implement governance mechanisms (audits, visual management, KPI tracking) to ensure ongoing adherence to new processes.
  • Identify sustainability risks and initiate corrective actions to prevent regression.
