About The Position

Responsible for construction activity for the enterprise including budgets and delivery timelines as well as assigned commercial projects. Manage the physical and human resources, systems and processes available to meet and exceed enterprise expectations and goals. Ensure quality and adherence to design specifications and construction standards. Accountable for the selection and monitoring of vendors and outside contractors. Serve the team by removing obstacles, holding regular one-on-one and team meetings, providing coaching, training, and necessary work tools to succeed. Guide the team to develop, execute, and deliver on goals aligned to those of the department and the enterprise. Prepare or assist in developing project schedules with realistic timelines to prevent delays. Monitor progress closely and collaborate with Director to resolve issues quickly and avoid downtime. Maintain intimate familiarity with historical costs by category and brand. Ensure timely project costs closeouts for the prompt collection of tenant allowances and actual project costs. Present budget estimates to the Director for approval prior to system entry. Exhibit thorough knowledge of brand design and construction standards and manage the work of others to ensure their incorporation into plans. Work with the design team to improve drawing quality and minimize punch lists, aiming for timely completion. Build and maintain strong customer relationships by providing world-class service acting on feedback to enhance satisfaction. Ensure consistent use of standard systems and tools (e.g. Smartsheet, Fieldwire, Edge, Coupa) across the team to drive efficiency and accuracy. Hold vendors accountable by measuring performance, providing feedback, and coaching. Maintain an adequate pool of vendors and actively seek out new partners to ensure effective purchasing strategies and quality service. Participate and/or encourage team participation in industry events, research, benchmarking, and trade shows to stay current on trends and innovations. Review change orders with Director with the ongoing goal of cost reduction. Track and report cost savings, proactively engage in value engineering, and contribute to other programmatic cost savings initiatives. Review and approve purchase orders, contracts, and invoices in accordance with procurement policy verifying the work of vendors and ensuring correct cost coding.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years of management experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years managing interior projects preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and administering complex budgets.
  • Ability to respond effectively to emergency situations.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Proven problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to analyze work processes.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment.
