About The Position

The Manager, CNG Business Development leads the development of compressed natural gas (CNG) and other natural gas solutions for use by vehicles throughout Florida. Leads PGS's offerings of compressed natural gas for vehicles and is responsible for planning and development activities to meet the growing demand of natural gas solutions for vehicles. Works in supporting activities related to any applicable regulatory filings in support of compressed natural gas development with the Florida Public Service Commission.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university in business, marketing, engineering, economics, finance, science, math, or related field.
  • 5 years related experience in Commercial, Financial, or Business Planning, Regulatory or Engineering.
  • 3 years experience in a leadership or supervisory role.
  • Knowledge of alternative fuels, including CNG and RNG services and strategies.
  • Excellent analytic, oral, written, interpersonal and negotiating skills.
  • Knowledge of the interrelationship of commodity prices and impacts on company and customer business.

Nice To Haves

  • Three (3) plus years of direct CNG experience.
  • Direct knowledge and experience with Florida based alternative fuel market and CNG customers.
  • Direct knowledge of Florida Public Service Commission regulatory processes.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the growth of Peoples Gas Systems compressed natural gas business development with transportation customers (transit buses, heavy duty/medium trucks, and waste haulers) using CNG.
  • Originate, negotiate, and execute contracts for CNG fuel customers.
  • Develop strategy, regulatory filings, and market assessments.
  • Deliver executable opportunities to meet business objectives aligned with 5-year and 10-year plans.
  • Negotiate agreements for compressed natural gas infrastructure investments with transportation customers.
  • Manage customers to meet current and future natural gas energy needs.
  • Develop a commercial network in Florida and the southeast US for future business opportunities.
  • Oversee the implementation and administration of personnel management programs.
  • Provide supervision, direction, training, and leadership to direct reports.
  • Maintain a good understanding of the energy industry and monitor regulatory changes.
