About The Position

This position is responsible for supervising and coordinating the activities and efforts of the Team Members in the Storm Lake, Iowa Facility. The goal is to produce profitable, quality products within a safe environment and in a timely manner that meets the needs of the customer.

Requirements

Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred.
Experience: 10 plus years minimum experience in Beef & Pork plant operations, including pork operations and management experience; technical skills preferred.
Computer Skills: Basic computer skills, such as checking electronic mail, entering data into document templates, or creating simple queries.
Travel: 12 plus trips per year.
Supervisory Skills: This position is responsible for managing multiple groups of personnel who perform dissimilar tasks and activities in several different departments.

Responsibilities

Lead the operations team to achieve operational metrics established with the VP of the Business Unit, ensuring exceptional quality and service aligned with Tyson Foods core values.
Coordinate production units to meet company-wide and complex individual goals while minimizing waste and rework.
Establish complex objectives and identify requirements to meet production needs.
Provide leadership in maintaining a safe work environment and a Good Neighbor policy with the community.
Support the development of managers for promotion to higher levels of responsibility.
Ensure company personnel and benefit policies are implemented properly.
Evaluate capital projects submitted by management to determine feasibility.
Approve all new hires and oversee personnel salaries and wages.
Perform additional responsibilities as business needs arise.
Ensure food safety, food quality, and legal compliance.
