This role serves as the lead for the Symposium for the Marketing of Higher Education and plays a vital role in shaping the future of AMA’s events portfolio. Part strategist, part orchestrator, part community architect, this individual operationalizes AMA’s strategic direction through gatherings that spark belonging, learning, and innovation. The role centers on program strategy, content design, and community leadership, with operational execution supported through cross-functional collaboration. From intimate roundtables to large-scale conferences, the Manager ensures every AMA event reflects purpose, connection, and impact—anchored in the belief that how we gather matters. This role collaborates across AMA teams and volunteer networks to translate vision into action, aligning programming, storytelling, and audience engagement with AMA’s broader growth and community strategies. This role is ideal for someone energized by program strategy, content design, and community leadership—someone who enjoys shaping ideas into meaningful experiences, bringing people together to turn them into action, and evolving programs over time based on audience insight and impact. Candidates whose experience is primarily focused on event logistics or production may not find this role the right fit.
