About The Position

Join the Mayo Clinic team as a Communications Manager of People Engagement and co-lead the charge in developing and executing our people engagement communications strategy. In this instrumental role, you'll craft and execute a dynamic communication plan that resonates across the enterprise and effectively reaches all employees. Your work will ensure all our people feel connected and understand how their role supports Mayo Clinic's goals, priorities and strategy. Your mission: to drive the engagement strategy, framework and communications calendar to strengthen employee engagement.

Requirements

• Requires a bachelor's degree in a related field plus 5 years of relevant work experience.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to communicate in a way that creates clarity, simplifies messages, and aligns with organizational strategy.
• Knowledge of channels for communication and the ability to build effective communication and engagement strategies.
• Must be a self-starter with the ability to independently identify opportunities, solutions and resolve challenges.

Responsibilities

• Co-lead the development and execution of internal communication strategies that engage, inform, and inspire employees across the organization.
• Develop and implement comprehensive communication plans for human resources and people engagement strategies that align with Mayo Clinic's values, mission, vision, brand positioning and employee value proposition.
• Craft clear, consistent messaging for initiatives such as talent development, total rewards, and employee engagement.
• Support communication planning for key HR initiatives (e.g., benefits enrollment, performance reviews, policy changes, culture transformation).
• Ensure brand and message alignment and coordination of communications.
• Drive meaningful connections across the enterprise organization.
• Partner with HR Employee Events and Recognition team in aligning strategies to continue and improve staff engagement across the enterprise.
• Support and communicate employee recognition programs to celebrate achievements and contributions.
• Partner with internal stakeholders to promote programs that drive engagement and retention.
• Measure communication effectiveness through analytics, feedback, and employee insights; recommend improvements based on data.
• Partner with leadership to foster an environment that supports open communication and collaboration, providing tools and resources to enable them to champion employee engagement within their teams.
• Explore, identify and implement technology and tools that promote and support greater connection and engagement.
• Participate in making communications more engaging and creative.
